Main aim: Pest free Whanganui by 2040

We are committed to monitoring and removing invasive pests such as rats, stoats, and possums, which threaten our native birds and trees.

Our mission is to protect our unique native species and restore a flourishing natural environment, all while enhancing the well-being of our Whanganui community.

By working together, we can make a lasting, positive impact on our ecosystem!

Antz is a nature enthusiast from Whanganui! With a background interests in sports like football and athletics, he discovered his true passion in the great outdoors. Antz has passionately hiked the beautiful landscapes all around the country. Conquering all the legendary great walks, taking on daring expert backcountry hikes, and serving as a Biodiversity Doc Ranger on the breathtaking Rakiura Stewart Island, as well as working all over the Te Wai Pounamu (South Island).

Antz is thrilled to inspire others with his knowledge of conservation and biodiversity. With over 5 years of conservation experience, and 2 years of owning a Pest Control Business, let Antz be your energetic fun, local serviceman for nature outside your door step!

Why choose us?

Choosing Wairua Conservation offers a unique opportunity to protect our native birds and trees while nurturing our Wairua in a positive way. We strengthen our bond with the land and with one another. We can create a pest-free community that invites native birds to sing their songs and supports the health of our environment for future generations. Join us in this new extraordinary journey starting from 2025 of conservation and cultural celebration!

Become a Premium member for $250 a month and unlock a variety of services designed for you. We kick off by installing 10 monitoring and trapping equipment on your property/project. Additionally, you can ask for a spiritual healing value that is meaningful for your needs. This can be expressed in Te Reo Māori to be featured on top of the trap box. This adds a meaningful touch to your setup. Join us in this journey of connection and care for the environment.

Pestfreetokens

We have teamed up with The Pest Free Token Charitable Trust to supply you with quality traps. Each wooden trap is hand-made by the Trustees of the charity, and the Flipping Timmys are sourced locally too. It’s good to know that our work is helping to support their pest eradication efforts. Together we can work together to save our native species nationwide.

The Pest Free Token project also provides the catch reward element of our trapping business. Each time you catch a pest, simply scan the top of the trap box and you will be paid for your catch with free Pest Free Tokens (a cryptocurrency). This is an innovative way to incentivise and gamify trapping. Your Pest Free Tokens can be sold for $NZD or exchanged for products from over 300+ companies nationwide.

You can learn more about the Pest Free Token project on their website: www.pestfreetoken.co.nz.
